A cry of anger was launched in 2003 to say no to the deterioration of the constant and unacceptable living conditions faced by girls in France in general and in our neighborhoods in particular. This cry is the fight for freedom and freedom. Emancipation of all, to live together and democracy: Neither whores nor submissive. How to tolerate that in the 21st century, Sohane or Chahrazad are burned alive by a boy in the heart of their neighborhood? How can we accept that Ghofrane be killed by stones in a wasteland in Marseille? What more can be said about all those brides who are forcibly married or threatened with marriage that we welcome to our offices? Let us also remember the courage and the wonderful lesson of love and hope that Samira Bellil gave us, who testified in a poignant book about the gang rapes she had suffered.
Mission & Vision
The Neither Whores or Subjects Movement’s main mission is to fight against all forms of violence against women. Whether physical, moral or physiological, committed in the couple, the family, by an acquaintance or a stranger.
The key words of the association are: “laïcité”, “mixité” and “égalité”. NPNS is a universalist association. Thus, the association mainly fights against any infringement of women’s rights (freedom to dispose of one’s body, freedom of movement, to think, to study), fundamentalism, communitarianism, obscurantism and cultural relativism (the right to difference mutated into differences in rights).
On the field
Since 2003, we have broken the silence on the living conditions of our fellow citizens in working-class neighborhoods who are struggling with precariousness and discrimination. We alert, support and denounce in order never to yield to omerta.
The Association is today made up of a team of volunteers, activists, volunteers distributed between the headquarters in Paris and the various committees and branches in the regions and abroad.
In order to better defend the fundamental rights of women, the Movement created the Platform in its Montreuil premises at 80 rue de Paris; one of the pillars of the Association since its foundation. This anonymous, free reception center helps hundreds of women victims of violence each year. It is composed of professional volunteers: specialized educators, lawyers, lawyers, psychologists.
Do you have difficulties and want to meet a member of the platform team? We welcome you from Monday to Friday from 10h to 17h, on Saturday by appointment at 80 rue de Paris in Montreuil (metro station 9 Croix de Chaveau exit Market Square), do not hesitate to contact us at 09 73 62 97 00 or contactnpns@gmail.com
NPNS also places education at the center of its priorities by organizing school-based interventions for middle and high school students. These interventions make it possible to prevent violence and to raise awareness of respect from an early age. NPNS teams provoke debate and break taboos about girls-boys relationships, homophobia, racism, religion, etc.
Would you like us to intervene in your establishment? Contact us at 09 73 62 97 00 and / or interventionnpns@gmail.com
On the international scene
At the time of globalization our fight is taking place here and elsewhere since women are the first victims of the withdrawal of identity and cultural relativism that have resulted in a frightening rise of obscurantism. It is this brave and difficult struggle for the emancipation of all women that Ni Putes Ni Soumises intends to take with her body, with force and without compromise. Our local committees abroad and the many meetings with feminists from around the world prove to us if it was necessary the urgency to act. Neither Whores nor Submissive has constituted a solid network of international feminists.
